COVID-19 INFORMATION

The State Fair Marathon agrees to comply with all CDC, State, County, Local, and all applicable Department of Health regulations, mitigation plans, and public health orders and do hereby agree to and understand the following rules and regulations as it pertains to the State Fair Marathon.

The State Fair Marathon agrees that it will communicate to and require participants, staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and anyone associated with the event that they will not be allowed to participate in or attend the event if any of the following apply:

• They have been in contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
• They have been in close contact within the last 14 days with an individual suspected of being infected with COVID-19, including individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
• They are currently experiencing, or have experienced in the past 14 days, fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
• They have traveled to an area that is under Level 2, 3, or 4 travel advisories by the U.S. State Department.

The State Fair Marathon understands and assumes all risks that despite all safety precautions, participants may still be exposed to possible infection of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases.

The State Fair Marathon will comply with current DHM’s as outlined by the Central District Health Department on the day of the event with regards to social distancing requirements and maintaining social distancing of 6-feet or more from other individuals at all times, except, if allowed, when participants are running or walking in the event.

The State Fair Marathon will communicate to participants that they should maintain proper and safe social distances as best as they can when running or walking in the event per the current DHM’s outlined at the time of the event by the CDHD.

The State Fair Marathon will communicate the face covering recommendations per CDHD recommendations prior to the event.

The State Fair Marathon will require and communicate that all vendors, volunteers, and event staff, will wear PPE’s as outlined by the CDHD, for those applicable, when and if they are coming into contact with any items that are provided to participants and when sanitizing/cleaning.

The State Fair Marathon agrees it will abide and follow all rules and instructions by all authorities.

The State Fair Marathon may require all individuals to sign/agree to an individual Social Contract.

SOCIAL AGREEMENT

Please acknowledge the list of statements below. 

In consideration of my entry into the 2023 Nebraska State Fair Marathon, I hereby agree to and understand the following rules and regulations:

I agree that I will not participate in the event if any of the following apply:

• I have been in contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
• I have been in close contact within the last 14 days with an individual suspected of being infected with COVID-19, including individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
• I am currently experiencing, or have experienced in the past 14 days, fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
• I have traveled to an area that is under Level 2, 3, or 4 travel advisories by the U.S. State Department.
• I understand and assume all risks, that despite all safety precautions, I may still be exposed to possible infection of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases.
• I will comply with social distancing requirements and will maintain social distancing of 6-feet or more from other individuals at all times, except when running or walking in the event.
• I will maintain proper and safe social distances as best as I can when running or walking in the event.
• I will wear a face covering at all times. I may choose, at my own discretion, to remove the face covering while participating in the event on the official race course.
• I understand that I may congregate with members I have been sheltering with, but under no circumstances in groups greater than 10 (or as advised by current health directives).
• I will abide and follow all rules and instructions by official event staff.
• I understand that failure to adhere to these regulations may, and will, result in my not being allowed to participate in, or remain at, the event, and I will not be entitled to any refund of registration or other such fees.
